Here are a bunch of sound recordings I've made since the summer of 2005 -- everything from the sound of canoe paddles to Buddhist chants. I was inspired by Mike Merz's Archive project.

They were recorded using a binaural microphone into a minidisc in most cases. I've posted them in mp3 and aiff formats -- if you're just listening I'd recommend mp3, but if you want to work with them aiff is probably a better bet, as it's a lossless format, meaning bigger format but higher fidelity. Most clips run 30 seconds to a minute long.

As per the terms of the Creative Commons license, I'd encourage musicians, DJs and anybody else to use them as you'd like -- please let me know when you do so I can hear what you've come up with!
